Torque:-
When certain amount of force is applied on a body in any particular direction with the other end fixed, a torque is produced.

 Couple:-
Couple is a case of torque in which you have equal forces acting in opposite direction.
 couple consists of two equal and opposite forces whose lines of action do not coincide. This is called a "simple couple".
