When nucleus is not bounded by nuclear membrane, it is known as nucleoid. It is not well organised and found in scattered state. It is generally found in prokaryotic cells, where as, When nucleus is bounded by nuclear membrane and it is well organised, it is known as nucleus. It is generally found in eukaryotic cells.
