Strain is said to be dimensionless, since it is change in length / original length. Therefore a unit for MoE is the same as a unit for stress. In SI-land, that unit is the pascal. and pascals are newtons / metre square. Ie N m-2. So, the dimensions are

Young's modulus is the ratio of stress, which has units of pressure, to strain, which is dimensionless; therefore, Young's modulus has units of pressure. From my reasoning if something is dimensionless, it should be a unitless ratio.
