farad is unit of capacitance

capacitance
 =  \frac{elecric \: charge}{volt}
 =  \frac{coulomb}{volt}
but volt = joule/coulomb
so
 \frac{{coulomb}^{2} }{joule}
current = charge x discharge

i.e I= C x. t
. c=I/t

dimension for joule is  L²MT⁻²

C^2=I^2 x t^2

so dimesions for farad is M-1L-2T4I2

priyabrata94: tnxxx so much dear
