F = a + bx

Now two quantities can only be added to give the third one if they have the same units

Therefore, dimensions of a and bx will be dimensions of F ie, force

Hence, dimensions of a=[MLT^-2]

Similarly,

Dimensions of bx = dimensions of force

b×[ L ] = [MLT^-2]

Cancelling L on both sides we get b= [MT^-2]

Hope it helps
