What is the dimensional formula for tension. Is it same as that of force or not.

Yes Tension is just same as force.

F=kgs^-1

Hi !

As we know that , tension balance the force so we can say that dimension of force is equal to tension . and dimension of force = mass * acceleration =kg/m/ = MLT^-2

similarly dimension of tension = MLT^-² Answer
