Surface tension = force /length
So force = MLT power - 2 and length =L
So dimensional formula of surface tension is
MT power - 2

Physical Quantity:

Surface Tension

Relation With Other Quantities:

Surface Tension

= Force/Length

Dimensional formula:

Velocity

=Change in displacement(length)/time

=L/T

Acceleration

=Change in Velocity/time

=L/T/T=L/T^2

so

Acceleration=(LT^-2)

Now

Force= Mass × Acceleration

=MLT^-2

So

Surface Tension

= Force/Length

=MLT^-2/L

=M L^0 T^-2

SI unit

Of Surface Tension

:Nm^-1
