What is the discriminant of: x2−4x+10=0?

Given the equation

 {x}^{2}  - 4x + 10 = 0 \\  \\ discriminant \:  \\ d = {b}^{2} - 4ac  \\  \\  \ \:   \:  =  { (- 4)}^{2}   - 4 \times 1 \times 10 \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  = 16 - 40 \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  =  - 24

The discriminate is -24 of the equation.

So the roots of the equation are not real .

They will be imaginary
