Final Answer :9 cm

1) We know :

Distance between any two parallel tangents in a circle is equal to measure of a Diameter .

For example, Look at Pic;

Distance between any parallel tangents = 2*r=2*4.5=9 cm

This can be seen as since tangents are parallel and both touches the circle at one point .

Hence, we can say a length of Diameter will fulfill the perpendicular gap between them .

So, Distance between two parallel tangents will be twice of length of radius or Diameter only.

Answer:

Here is ur answer

Step-by-step explanation:

the tangents are parallel to each other

Hence,distance between them is equal to there diameter

radius=4.5cm

d = 2r

.*. d=2 * 4.5

.*. d =9 cm

Therefore , distance between two parallel tangents is 9 cm
