Major distribution of mineral oil in India is categorized into three basins namely Upper asim( Digboi, Naharkatia, Moran, Lakwa, Sibs agar and Rudrasagar.) , Bombay high ( 167 km northwest to mumbai ) and cambay basin ( state of Gujarat and major oil-wells are Ankaleshwar, Kosamba, Kalol, Dhalka, Mahesana, Nawagam and Sobhasan).
