Let y =1 - |x-3|.

|x-3| \geq 0 \\   (as mod of number is always greater or equal to zero.)

multiplying -1 to both lhs and rhs, so sign reverses in the inequality

- |x-3| \leq  0 \\

1- |x-3| \leq  1 \\

y\leq 1

Therefore, range = y = (-∞ , 1]
