Each rat had their own cage and was provided the standard diet and water. And their naked skin has already been disinfected. Each rat was cut a wound which has a diameter of 2.00 cm. Experimenters gave the blank placebo cream to the Group 1 rats. The rats in the second and third group was applied the blank placebo cream containing five and ten percentage of R.hasseltii extract respectively. The Group 4 rats were given the Intrasite gel. And each group was supplied the treatment twice a day. The result showed that the healing of the second, third and fourth group were good while the wound of Group 1 rats were healed slowly.(Mahmood et al.,2009)

Besides the medical and food use, rafflesia flowers can also be considered as a spiritual symbol. In Sabah and Malaysia, a flower of spirits means the rafflesia. It is considered as a tool which can help people go to heaven in Thailand. (Kamarudin, 1991)
