Temperature also affects the growth of crystals because "the higher the temperature, the warmer the crystal solution will be, and the faster its molecules will move. This movement allows them to evaporate more quickly, leaving particles behind to form into crystals.

There coordination number changes on heating coordination number decrease and change in lattice takes place on heating the solid and vice-versa on increasing the pressure, further heating of crystalline solid it undergo melting at it's melting point and sudden cooling i.e on quenching it becomes amorphous solid.
