There are 2 types of beta decay

Beta+ and beta-

➡Beta+ :

✳ release 1 positron + 1 nutrino + energy

✳so its proton decreases by one .

✳Nothing but atomic number decreases by one

➡Beta- :

✳It release 1 electron + 1 antinutrino

+ Energy

✳So its atomic number increases by 1

In both the cases mass number remains same ..
