The effect of pressure on gas is the it can be easily compressible. As gas has property of highly compressibility than any other state of matter.

Example : if we apply pressure on carbon dioxide or on any other gas in will be easily compressed and can be stored in any container or you might have seen that carbon dioxide is used in fire extinguishers there also the gases are compressed by using pressure.
