Hey... the answer is " continuous rain for plants will decay the roots "
and may help in formation of some harmful bacteria in plants which results in diseases
ADDED :
due to continuous rain the soil gets water logged.. which causes the deficiency of oxygen.to respire and ultimately dies
soil erosion which takes away nutrients

Its good for those plants who have well drained soil as they can manage it but there are many plants who can't bare continuous water as they are not able to stand by it and they fall or come out from the soul along with their roots. Many a times the leaves too get formed and damaged and thus the plant losts it's life...
