It goes without saying that overpopulation is not something to be proud of. It is true that a nations building depends on its people but having a large population isn’t the answer for better development, in fact it has many ill effects and can prove quite unfortunate both in the development and economy of the nation.
To answer the question ‘is development possible if the present increase in number continues’ I would say no. No development will not take place with the population rate increasing so rapidly. We must take many other factors into consideration like space for inhabitation of the growing numbers, food for consumption and public services.
If population isn’t being controlled things may get out of hand and to cope up with the increased number will be a very difficult issue for the nation as a whole.
