The effect of impurities present in water on melting point and boiling point, are as follows -

• The melting point and the boiling point of the water ar measured by the pure sample of water which doesn't contain any kind of impurities.

• Now, if the impurities are present in the water then the numerical value of the boiling and melting point of the water changes from the regular numerical value of the boiling and melting point of the water.

• Generally, the boiling point increases and the melting point decreases ,if there is any kind of impurity present in the water.
