What is the effect of increaseach in temperature on the solid state of matter

Hey Friend,

The increase in temperature causes change in the state of matter. We know that there three states of matter - solid, liquid, gaseous!

So, when heat energy is supplied to a solid substance, there is a rise in temperature. This heat energy causes the molecules of the substances to vibrate. This increases the inter-molecular space between the molecules thereby reducing the inter-molecular attraction. This weakens the bonding strength of the molecules. And, thus the molecules break apart.

This is how the state changes!

Now, the process by which solid changes to liquid is melting and the temperature at which solid changes into liquid is called melting point.
[The melting point of ice is 0 degrees Celsius or 32 degrees Fahrenheit]

Hope it helps!

Increased temperature rearranges the molecules of some solid substances.

I have explain it.........

Some melt or liquefy examp....like ice, sugar others like dry ice or albatross air fresheners on the other hand, sublime converted directly from solid to gas.

Thankyou.......
