All of us know that sun is the ultimate source of energy and the movement of earth around the sun and it’s tilt position on its axis are responsible for duration of days and nights.
The earth receives maximum radiation at the equator and moving north ward or southward from equator reduces the amount of solar radiation and the time period of receiving solar light because of the longer distance it has to cover due to more curved ground area, affecting the length of day and nights because of the uneven distribution of sunlight on the surface of the earth
