A liquid boils at a temperature at which it's vapor pressure is equal to the pressure of the gas above it. The lower the pressure of the gas above a liquid, the lower the temperature at which the liquid will boil.

the boiling point of a liquid is related to the pressure of the atmosphere. Higher the pressure , higher is the boiling point , and vice - versa .As the altitude increases the atmospheric pressure decreases , hence the boiling point of liquid also decreases .
