What is the effect of suspending the cells in hypotonic, hypertonic and isotonic environment?

in hypotonic solution the cell will increase in size by taking in the surrounding material to gain equilibrium

in hypertonic solution the cell will get plasmolysed and lose all its water content

in isotonic solution nothing will happen because the cell's protoplasm and the outside solution are in equilibrium
