Radius of molecule: Increasing the radii of the molecules decreases the space between them, causing them to run into each other more often. Therefore, the mean free path decreases. Pressure, temperature, and other factors that affect density can indirectly affect mean free path

The effect of temperature and pressure on mean free path physics:
- Temperature and pressure do have an effect on the free path followed by molecules.
- Increasing molecular size or decreasing space between molecules can be a reason for collision of different molecules then we can say that the mean free path followed by the molecule will be disturbed.
- Application of temperature will increase the space between molecules by decreasing the density hence the free main path will increase while application of pressure will decrease the space between molecules thereby increasing the density and again affecting the path.
