what is the effect of temperature on resistance?

Resistance increases, in case of conductor, with increase intemperature and decreases, in case of insulator, due to increase intemperature. ... So, with increase intemperature, the resistance of conductor increases. But in case of insulator, there is a large energy gap between the two bands.

When the resistance is less than electric current is high and wire become hot so the temperature is proportional to resistance
