What is the effect on the weight of an object when it is immersed in a fluid?

When of an object when immersed in a fluid DECREASES

Reason:
When body is immersed in a liquid Bouyant Force (F) due to liquid acts on it vertically upwards. Hence it decreases the weight of object.

Wieght of object in liquid = mg - F
