Explanation:

1). (The small children)= SUBJECT

( were throwing stones at the dogs )= (PREDICATE)

2). (Gita) = SUBJECT

(Was dancing gracefully) = PREDICATE

3). (My five year old brother) = SUBJECT

(Was thrilled when he got a as a gift)= (PREDICATE,)

4). (my baby brother) and (my mother)= SUBJECT

(leaving for a moment) and (went into the kitchen)= PREDICATE

5). (The good news ) = SUBJECT

(is that our school won the trophy) = PREDICATE

They are as shown below:

For capacitor C1, C2 in parallel we have:

\\\tt \: C_{net} = C_{1} + C_{2}

Using the values give,

\\\tt \: C_{net} = (3 \times 10^{ - 6} ) + (4 \times 10^{ - 6} ) \\  =  { 10}^{ - 6} (3 + 4) \\  = 7 \times  {10}^{ - 6} C

For Capacitor in series:

\\\tt \dfrac{1}{C_{new}} =  \dfrac{1}{C_{1}} + \dfrac{1}{C_{2}}  \\\tt  = \dfrac{1}{3 \times  {10}^{ - 6} } + \dfrac{1}{4  \times  {10}^{ - 6}}   \\  =  \frac{7 \times  {10}^{ - 6} }{12 \times   {10}^{ - 12}  }

\\\tt \:  C_{new} = 1.4 \times  {10}^{ - 6} C
