Scandium has an atomic no. of 21.

Therefore electronic configuration of scandium(Sc) is:

1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 3d1 4s2.

Here, two electrons are in 4s orbital instead of being in 3d orbital because 4s orbital is having lesser energy than 3d orbital and 4s orbital also gives full-filled stability which 3d can not give.
