The electron configuration of copper is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s1 3d10. ... Copper atoms have enough electrons to completely fill the 3d sub-shell, but only if oneelectron from the 4s sub-shell is used

palaksinghania: he said that the answer will b 4s1 3d9
meenakshi997sa: how?? and y??
palaksinghania: he said that 4s1 3d10 is excited state
meenakshi997sa: but thats Normal electronic configuration...?.. 3d10 4s1
palaksinghania: ground state will be 4s2 3d9
meenakshi997sa: ground State
palaksinghania: ya i agree with u
meenakshi997sa: but google is also saying that groung state-4s1 3d10
meenakshi997sa: okay ... plz.. ask ur teacher to explain once again..... and. plzzzzzzz let me know the correct answer...☺
palaksinghania: ok
