pipeline before were use for transportation only but now they are used for many purpose like transportation of natural gas,oil ,energy from power plant , fertilizeretc. solid also transfer through pipeline when converted into slurry.initial cost is high but the cost of running pipeline is minimal. in India pipeline play vital role.there are three pipeline chaneel in india namely-
1) from Assam to Kanpur
2)from salvya to jhalandar in Punjab
3)from hazira in Gujarat to jadishpur in u.p
