Hey Hawk,

Space, to us, is just three dimensions of our four dimensional world, fourth being time. Space and time are woven into one entity like a fabric, known as space-time fabric which warps because of any mass(that's what gravity is)

Empty space is not empty, even in places where there is no trace of matter, energy is present.Energy fluctuates in empty space and particles are produced in that "empty space".
Besides most 68% of the space has dark energy.
