End product of glycolysis Glucose + 2ADP + 2Pi + 2NAD —> 2 Pyruvic acid + 2ATP + $2NAD{ H }_{ 2 }$

It occurs in cytoplasm, i.e., outside the mitochondria.Fermentation in plant cells occurs in absence of oxygen.
