Potential energy to Kinetic , Heat and sound energy

Ishita05: Can you please elaborate i.e. Potential energy of string changes into kinetic energy of______?
Ishita05: Please
jaydeep45: ok.....When you stretch the string of the bow with the arrow attached to the string, the all the muscular force that u put forth gets stored in the string. Then when u realise the string , the potential energy is converted into kinetic energy the to which th estring moves forward. Also some amount of heat and sound is also produced
Ishita05: Kinetic energy of string or of the arrow??
jaydeep45: The string
jaydeep45: The string moves the kinetic energy which is later transferred to the arrow
jaydeep45: *Sorry kinetic energy moves the string
Ishita05: Thanks
jaydeep45: your welcome

By virtue of the string of the bow being stretched , the amount of energy that it took to stretch the string is stored in the string as long as the force keeping it stretched is intact when the force is released ,the stored potential energy is converted to Kinetic energy, which is the energy of motion

Ishita05: Can you please elaborate i.e. Potential energy of string changes into kinetic energy of______?
Ishita05: Please
jaydeep45: ok wait
jaydeep45: First u need to know that ENERGY CAN NEITHER BE CREATED NOR BE DESTROYED
jaydeep45: So, when u stretch the string of the bow, U use it muscles. The muscular energy cannot be lost so it is stored in the string and then when u release the string then the potential energy is converted into kinetic energy
Ishita05: I am simply asking that when the string is released the potential energy stored in the string changes into kinetic energy of the string or of the arrow??
jaydeep45: First it changes to the kinetic energy of the string and then to the arrow
