It can be living (e.g. trees, plants, rivers) or nonliving things (e.g. buildings, workspaces). It includes physical(e.g. parks, forests, buildings,transport, road etc) , chemical (e.g. the chemicals and fumes given off by manufactured goods like plastics, cleaning products, cosmetics etc) and other natural forces (e.g. the weather, oceans, the air).

Living things live in their environment. They constantly interact with it and adapt themselves to conditions in their environment.
