Answer:

we know that,

y=mx+c

so from the given eq.

m1=-1/3

Now since the lines are perpendicular,

m1m2=-1

-1/3m=-1

m=3

slope=m=3

Now the passing points are given, (-4,5)

(y-y1)=m(x-x1) {x1=-4, y1=5}

y-5=3(x+4)

y-5=3x+12

3x-y+12+5=0

Answer = 3x-y+17=0
