e - \frac{4}{3} - \frac{e}{2} = 1 \\ \\ \frac{6e - 8 - 3e}{6} = 1 \\ \\ \frac{3e - 8}{6} = 1 \\ \\ 3e - 8 = 6 \\ \\ 3e = 6 + 8 \\ \\ 3e = 14 \\ \\ e = \frac{14}{3} .
