Let x1y1 be (-3,1) and x2y2 be (2,-4)
Slope = y2-y1 /x2-x1 = -4-1/2-(-3)= -5/5= -1

Equation of the line = y-y1 = m(x-x1)
Y-1 = -1(x+3)
Y-1 = -x-3
Y = -x-2
Hope it will help you

Answer:

⇒ y = -x - 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given points are (-3,1) and (2,-4).

Here, (x₁,y₁) = (-3,1) and (x₂,y₂) = (2,-4).

Slope = m = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

                 = (-4 - 1)/2 + 3

                 = -5/5

                 = -1.

∴ y = (-1)x + b

To find b use either of the two points into the partial equation = (2,-4)

⇒ -4 = (-1)(2) + b

⇒ -4 = -2 + b

⇒ -4 + 2 = b

⇒ b = -2.

Therefore, the equation of the line is y = -x - 2.

Hope it helps!
