Equivalent capacitance of capacitors connected in parallel is equal to the sum of the individual capacitors.

For n capacitors connected in parallel,

C=c[1]+c(2)+.......c(n)

Equivalent capacitance of capacitors connects in series is equal to the sum of the reciprocals of the individual capacitors.

For m capacitors in series,

C=1/c(1) +1/c(2) +........1/c(n)
