Hey dear here is ur answer :-

-Equivalent Fractions have the same value, even though they may look different. Why are they the same? Because when you multiply or divide both the top and bottom by the same number, the fraction keeps it's value

So the equivalent fraction of 8/11 will be:

[8*5=40]

[11*5=55]

~40/55

let the number be x

8/11 = 40/x

now ,we will have to cross multiply

so, 8x = 11×40

8x =440

x= 440/8

x=55
