(i) to get rational number equivalent for -15/36 with denominator 12, multiply both numerator and denominator by 3/3.

 =  \frac{15}{36}  \times  \frac{3}{3}

 =  -  \frac{5}{12}

(ii) to get rational number equivalent for -15/36 with numerator -75, multiply both numerator and denominator by 5/5.

 =  -  \frac{15}{36}  \times  \frac{5}{5}

 =  -  \frac{75}{180}
