Explanation:

TheTwo Resistor above are in series so

Equivalent Resistance above is 2R.

TheTwo Resistor below are also in series so

Equivalent Resistance below is 2R also.

Then these both Equivalent Resistances are in Parallel

Which is Like,

\frac{1}{Rt} = \frac{1}{2R} + \frac{1}{2R}

\frac{1}{Rt} = \frac{1+1}{2R}

Rt = RΩ

That's why total resistance is R.

and 4R/3 is not correct
