b c open points therefore 10 ohm resistor at at b and c have no use the middle portion or the square portion is like a parallel pattern 10 ohms + 10 ohms is equal to 20 ohms does the overall resistance of of the square portion is 1/r=1/20+1/20 =1/10

r=10 ohms of the square portion

thus resistance between a and d is 10 + 10 + 10 which is equal to 30 ohms....(c)[ans]
