Answer:

13

Explanation:

equivalent weight of oxide of a metal=20

Now as we know that eq.weight of oxygen is 8

Let eq.weight of metal be X

calculating equivalent weight of metal w.r.t oxygen

I,e

X+8=20, we get X=12

now eq. weight of hydrogen=1

Thus eq. weight of metal hydride 12+1=13

HOPE it Helps

Equivalent weight of oxide of a metal=20.

So for calculating equation weight of hydride of metal we must know the equation weight of metal.

Now as we know that equation weight of oxygen is 8.

Let the equation weight of metal be X.

Calculating equivalent weight of metal w.r.t oxygen I.e.

X+8=20, we get X=12.

Now equation weight of hydrogen=1

Thus, equation weight of metal hydride=12+1=13.
