here is ur answer....

As we know that the gravitational force on moon is 1/6 th of that of Earth, and the escape velocity on Earth's surface is 11.2 km per second.

hence, escape velocity on moon will 1/6th of that..

coz... let's take gravitational force of Earth as 1 and escape velocity is 10..

and on moon let's take the gravitational force as 1/6th as.
1 \times \frac{1}{6}

Then as per ratio.. escale velocity has to be 1/6th of ours.

 \frac{1}{6} \times 10
 \frac{5}{3}

(these are not the exact values... the 1 and 10)

hence...

escape velocity on moon will be 11.2/6

=> 1.87 km per second (approx.)

exact = 1.86666666
