The Essence of all the religions is to create a sense of equality, peace, humanity, truthfulness and unity in its people. This is because all the religions want humans to be like real humans and not like animals, who only care about their own greed.

As we tend to do good deeds with are true self involved in all of these, we tend to attain the ultimate truth,i.e., God.
