The Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, known as the Panchsheel Treaty Non interference in others internal affairs and respect for each other's territorial unity integrity and soverignty (from Sanskrit, panch:five, sheel:virtues), are a set of principles to govern relations between states. Their first formal codification in treaty form was in an agreement between China and Indiain 1954. They were enunciated in the preamble to the "Agreement (with exchange of notes) on trade and intercourse between Tibet Region of China and India", which was signed at Peking on 29 April 1954.[1] This agreement stated the five principles as:

Mutual respect for each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty.Mutual non-aggression.Mutual non-interference in each other's internal affairs.Equality and cooperation for mutual benefit.Peaceful co-existence.

At the core of Panchsheel laid the importance on "pacific co-existence” and collaboration for the common benefit.  By giving references from the wars which was happened in the past and their brutal experience which results in bloodshed the experience death and devastation, "bilateral non-aggression” is pronounced as the second principle.
