F Block Elements are Lanthanides and Actinides.
They are called inner transition elements .
The f orbitals of the electron shell are filled with “n-2.” 
The elements constituting the f block are those in which the 4f and 5f orbitally progressively filled.
The f block elements- numbers 57 to 70 and 89 to 102
The elements in which the last electron enters any one of the seven f-orbitals of their respective ante-penultimate shells
