What is the factor of MnO4-1 in acidic medium

                                                 +7    Answer: Be ( MnO4)----Ba^2+2MnO4

BA being most electropositive elements  does not get reduced to Ba thus only MnO4 gets reduced to Mn^2 as it always does in acidic medium . (since compound has 2 atom of MN in it so  it'n factor of given by in oxidation number per atom ) × ( number of atoms per molecule of formula unit of given   reagent).

5×2 = 10 .
