What is the factored form of the polynomial? x² − 12x + 27?
(i) (x + 4)(x + 3)
(ii) (x − 4)(x + 3)
(iii) (x + 9)(x + 3)
(iv) (x − 9)(x − 3)

ANSWER :
Option IV is the answer : (x - 9)(x - 3)

SOLUTION :
x² - 12x +27
x² - 9x -3x +27
[By Middle term splitting method]
x(x -9) -3(x -9)
(x - 9) (x -3)

Hence , the Factored form of the polynomial is x² − 12x + 27 : (x - 9) (x -3)
