what is the fault in the brain of mentally challenged

if their is any kind of brain fault or any brain injury

then there can be the chances of defults in brain and ultimately leads to mentally challenged but in serious condition.

Here our the some of the reasons except the above.

trauma before birth, such as an infection or exposure to alcohol, drugs, or other toxins.

trauma during birth, such as oxygen deprivation or premature delivery.

inherited disorders, such as phenylketonuria (PKU) or Tay-Sachs disease.

chromosome abnormalities, such as Down syndrome.
