{\bold{\sf{\green{\underline{ANSWER}}}}}

GIVEN

• Electric field ( E) = 3 x 10³ i N/C

• The flux through a square whose side (a) = 10 cm.

FORMULA

• Flux ( Φ ) = E A

where,

• E = Electric field

• A = Area

SOLUTION

• The side of square = 10 cm = 0.1 m

So

• The area of one side of square =

 {a}^{2}  =  {(0.1)}^{2}  = 0.01 \:  { m}^{2}

Now Flux =

E A = 3 \times  {10}^{3}  \times 0.01 = 30 \: N  {m}^{2}  {c}^{ - 1}
